Daniella Cohen

Daniella is the co-founder and CEO of GIVE. She started a pen pal connection with the Sahasra Deepika Institute in Bangalore, India when she was in fifth grade. Her pen pal, Suma, inspired her to grow GIVE to schools across the world and led her to install computers and internet at Suma’s school. She hopes to enhance the education of all of the schools GIVE has connected with. Before attending Princeton University, she is interning at Facebook and Ashoka on a gap year. Check out her website!

Partha Rajendra

Partha is a co-founder of GIVE. in 1999, he started volunteering at the Sahasra Deepika Institute, founded by his grandfather. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in computer science. He is passionate about using technology to improve people's lives and solve important problems. He has since worked for various startups as a software engineer. Currently, he is a research engineer in Washington, DC with Fast Rope Labs .

Miranda Dotson

Miranda is passionate about spreading cultural understanding. In 2013, she studied abroad in Germany with the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange program where she discovered a drive to learn foreign languages and travel. This led her to study abroad in France and Morocco. She currently volunteers for Youth for Understanding, an international exchange nonprofit, and plans to study Linguistics and Anthropology at American University after taking a gap year.

Francesca Block

Frannie is a senior at North Shore Country Day School. She is passionate about culture understanding and involving her community to help GIVE's mission. She spent her summer in Japan as an Okinawa Peace Scholar working to build bonds between Okinawa and Americans and spread cultural understanding. Frannie's experience in peace building helps to direct GIVE's mission. 

 

Evan Lissoos

Evan Lissoos is a sophomore at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying computer engineering. He has interned with Electronic Arts and will intern at Apple this coming summer. He is passionate about using technology to help bring access to schools in the developing world and is involved with various tech related clubs on campus.

Bennett Preskill

Bennett is a freshman at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying industrial engineering. Bennett was a recent member of the Catapult Incubator, working on the Bridge Initiative which brings job opportunities to people with disabilities. His passion and experience working on projects bring a unique perspective to the GIVE team.

Allen Wehner

Allen is freshman at Stanford studying Electrical Engineering with interests in social sciences, and he is thrilled to be a part of the GIVE team. In addition to his studies at work with GIVE, Allen participates in stage crew and student government at Stanford, in addition to work with the all-student Unit 14 Theatre Company in Highland Park, IL. He loves music, theatre, conversation, and taking things apart. Hopefully, with a few more years of school, he'll be able to put them back together!

Hannah Chonkan-Urow

Hannah is currently on a gap year before attending Macalester College. She is living in Israel with the youth movement, Habonim Dror. She is working with Israeli youth and exploring her own religious identity to promote harmony and shared existence between Jews and Palestinians. Hannah is passionate about cultural understanding, especially since writing to her pen pal Triveni in Bangalore, India.
